Case Notes

This 50 year old woman underwent bilateral mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with prepectoral implant as well as 4 separate revision surgeries to try to achieve symmetry before coming to our office. She continued to find the right implant higher than the left, and had difficulty wearing a bra because the fold at the bottom of the breast was flattened out. She underwent revision of her reconstruction with latissimus flap. This created a softer appearing upper pole, greater breast symmetry in size and shape, and finally allowed her to wear a bra comfortably.
