Case Notes
This case features a patient who underwent left mastectomy and reconstruction for a left breast cancer with prophylactic mastectomy and reconstruction of the right breast. She chose a Nipple Sparing, Direct to Implant (DTI), Pre-Pectoral breast reconstruction technique for both breasts. Hemosiderin staining of the skin from breast biopsy on the left remains present throughout the photos. The implants chosen were round in shape with a moderate plus profile, each sized at 275cc, designed to achieve a natural and balanced look. Sensory Preservation, through nerve grafting performed at the time of mastectomy allowed the patient to continue to have sensation on both the right and left breasts. The use of round, highly cohesive gel implants provided a durable, aesthetically pleasing outcome that aligns beautifully with the patient's body proportions and personal expectations. Age: 50-59.
